A Child’s Resilience

William Kamkwamba had to drop out of secondary school during one of the worst draughts and famines in Malawi’s history. With what he found in a scrap warehouse, he built a small electric generator, which he used to provide irrigation and other services to his neighbors.

New Paper and Cardboard Substitute Material

With a little plaster, limestone and marble, mixed with resin, it is possible to obtain Terraskin, an environmentally-respectful stone paper: no wood or water is required to produce it. In addition, its white color is obtained without using bleach or acids of any type.
