Managing a country requires exercising leadership to implement the mandate received. It can be a freely expressed electoral mandate or a mandate camouflaged by those who dominate and once in power cheat their voters. The hypocrisy and deceit were shamelessly acknowledged by that president when he pointed out that if he had made explicit what he was going to do, they would not have voted for him. Covert interests and electoral fraud undermine political credibility; whom the elected truly represent, what interests and privileges they defend. Alienated in deception, their followers become victims of the victimizers they have chosen.
To subjugate majorities requires inventing a reality that is functional to the interests of the dominators; above all, let them continue with the plundering of wealth and income that does not belong to them. They crucify as enemies those who resist, they colonize public opinion, fill spaces with fear and hatred, fragment society by imposing their values as absolute. Far from persuading, they repress and intimidate.
Cornered in the immense pain of its people, it is up to each society to find ways to get out of such confinement. It leads to the construction of new and unique life paths sustained with greater social organization and clarification. It is a long-standing march that is renewed century after century.
