An offensive by American radical rightists promotes blocking vote mechanisms, reverting constitutional rights and liberties of women and minorities, prohibiting social history teachings, such as racism, opposing to measures to contain sanitary pandemic, preparing military actions against “communism and left radicals.”
None of this is new but has grown to such an extent that it becomes extremely dangerous by questioning the democratic foundations of the country. The risk involved in a superpower with huge atomic arsenal fall pray of this type of leadership threatens world security generating extreme uncertainty. Let us hope that United States political parties know how to address this tremendous challenge.
