In the night of November, 4th, a vibrant “yes, we can” resonated, that electrified the crowd gathered in that park of Chicago as well as millions of people around the world. In this same spirit and with equal vigor other “yes, we can” emerge in our countries of the South.
Yes, we can abate the inequality and poverty that enervate our societies. Yes, we can curb the environmental deterioration and preserve our natural resources. Yes, we can close the educational and technological gap. Yes, we can face the corruption and the aggravated criminal systems. Yes, we can adopt constructive ways of solving conflicts. Yes, we can overcome alienation and consumerism. Yes, we can correct the loss of representation of our political parties and improve the threatened governance. Yes, we can battle to eliminate discrimination, the fear of diversity and the homogenization of thought. Yes, we can rise above selfishness, greed and the lack of generosity. We can achieve this and much more; so as to improve our countries, mobilize our full potential, choose better courses in our permanent search for meaning. Yes, we can and there we are headed for.
Until next month, cordial greetings,
