Opinion Sur
A year comes to an end; another begins. The stream of life flows on without paying attention to human calendars. And yet, having devoured so much alienation, moments of reflection are necessary to notice how we feel and where we are headed.
Those who have departed reminded us of the fragility of existence, and the gaze of those who have suffered, surrounded by affection or in solitude, have reinforced our temperance and determination to keep searching for significance and meaning.
We have chosen to build, not to antagonize over meanness; to look after and to be cared for; to work to overcome inequities; to make efforts to understand how things happen; to extend a hand and offer a shoulder. We have adopted a mandate that no one forced upon us; chosen it from our individual and social freedom; we are not spokespeople for anyone who has the voice to express himself; but the aim has been to take down unfair privileges and joining the billions of people that yearn for a better world, protecting our planet and those who inhabit it.
We feel the responsibility to unravel and unmask, to adopt utopias that ennoble us; we love justice and the just, good-natured people, Mother Earth and all nations without discrimination. We would like for all the weapons and violence to be taken out of our packs and for all that is disgraceful to leave room for compassion, wisdom and reflection, comradeship, and a full and heartfelt friendship.
That is where our referential utopia lies and with that in mind we will continue to produce Opinion Sur in this coming year.
