Regarding the sins of communication.
I told this for the first time at a conference held in Buenos Aires when I was archbishop. It occurred to me to talk about the four sins of communication, of journalism. First, misinformation: saying what suits me and keeping quiet about the rest. No, you say everything, you cannot misinform. Second, slander. Things are made up and sometimes they destroy a person with a communication. Third, defamation, which is not slander, but which is like bringing a person a thought that we had in another era and that has already changed. It is as if an adult was brought dirty diapers from when he was little. He was a boy, he thought so. He changed, now he is like this. And for the fourth sin, I used the technical word coprophilia, that is, the love of poop, the love of crap. That is, to seek making dirty, to seek scandal for the scandal. It is the love for the dirty, the ugly.

Regarding Fake News and Conspiracy Theories
Fake news and conspiracy theories are means to manipulate people, keep them in doubt, and generate conflicts in society. In this way, it is possible to divide people and not pay attention to what happens.

Regarding the universe and people of earth
The universe is so concrete, so tremendous, and so immeasurable that one feels nothing. Currently, with technology that offers multiplicity and immediacy, some important issues are trivialized or stereotyped, causing a temporary adhesion that soon falls into oblivion. It is said, it is written: “You are the root”, “You are the owners of the land”. Neither root nor owners. We are Mapuche, people of the earth. This conception implies belonging, responsibility, and coexistence, far from all boasting.
