New Argentine Satellite SAC-D
Weighing 1,405 kilos (three times as heavy as its predecessor) satellite SCA-D/Aquarius, designed and built in Argentina, is considered a true space observatory. Among other phenomena, it will study ocean circulation, the global water cycle and the Earth’s climate. It has also been designed to detect Earth high temperature areas for fire hazard mapping, and soil humidity areas for early flood warning. This is a cooperative international mission involving, in addition to the USA and Brazil, contributions from Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI), Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES) from France, and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).

This company processes used plastic bottles and transforms them into a vital input for the textile, chemical and plastic industries. RECICLAR invested in technology and research to manufacture sheets, high-quality textile fibers and resins, with half of its output being exported to the US, China, Brazil and Ireland, among other markets. Environmental care is secured by preventing that 600 million bottles stack up at disposal sites, transforming non-degradable waste into value-added products.
