Geopolitics, development, transformation

Large banks are significantly responsible for the financial crisis that has been striking the world since 2007. However, they have walked out immune and with impunity not only from the crisis but also from all the attempts to regulate. They have contributed to creating an unbridled wealth concentration that blocks the march towards a better world. So as to move forward it is critical to put an end to that concentration which announces strong transformational tensions. Simultaneously with a struggle for a new global economic order, there is a spectrum of significant challenges within our countries. It is necessary to understand what is going on as to identify and then implement the most appropriate options regarding the different ways to act; those that full democracies will decide to choose.

There are many, diverse and some very valuable initiatives emerging everywhere in our countries. This issue of Opinion Sur seeks to contribute to those initiatives by connecting geopolitical dynamics with upcoming national choices and innovative local experiences that steadily blossom everywhere, some of which are recognized as good practices.

Cordial greeting.
