Elders and young people

In some cultures, the elderly are those who were born before. Over the years, they were able to accumulate experiences, falls, victories. Some matured reflections on the common and the communal, wisdom, the meaning of life. They knew about themselves and the diversity of others. Young people were born “after”. They went through other life experiences, with new knowledge and tremendous technological instruments. Very few that are included build and deconstruct rapidly, many others laggard, belittled, abandoned.

Old and young can complement each other. Reflection channels acceleration, speed allows to address issues that were held up for a long time. The danger of not acting intersects with the danger of leaping on. Together there is less fog, understanding that orients potency.

A relationship to be exalted. Elders who listen empathically to the young so that the stream of their words is oxygenated when they leave. A path of care, meaningful encounters, deep respects. Encouraging, sustaining one another.

Diversity of ages and perspectives; a luck and a responsibility.
