Regarding the concentration of wealth in Latin America

Between 2002 and 2015, the fortunes of Latin American multimillionaires grew 21% annual on average, that is, an increase six times higher than the GDP of the region according to OXFAM estimations. Most part of such wealth is kept abroad, in fiscal heavens, what means that a very significant proportion of benefits of Latin American growth is being hoarded by a small number of very rich people at the expense of the poor and middle classes.

Regarding what monopolists lie about

Monopolists lie to protect their interests as they put great effort in keeping their monopoly’s benefits intact; they try to do whatever is necessary to disguise such monopoly, generally exaggerating the power of their (inexistent) competitors.

About demanding responsibility from enterprises

Society has realized that the enterprise owes her its existence and that it is an integral part of such society and, thus, it has the right to demand not only responsibility for their impacts but also responsibility in contributing to its development. Hence, the enterprise has the responsibility of using the resources society lets it use (and sometimes abuse) to enhance the general wellbeing of such society. The enterprise as a legal entity, the same way we all do as individuals, has the responsibility to use the talents that have been given to us (by the Creator) or, in the case of enterprises, those that the society has created, including their employees and executives, technology, natural resources, financial resources (that most of them come from the savings of that society), among others.
