Regarding Africa martyr

Africa is a victim. Africa has always been exploited by other powers. From Africa came the slaves sold in America. There are powers that only want to grab large valuable resources from Africa, the world’s richest continent, but without thinking on helping countries grow and that everybody could get a job. Africa is a martyr, the martyr of the exploitation in history.

Pope Francis

Regarding changing the analysis of the world we live in

Intuitive mind is a sacred gift and rational mind a loyal servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. We would not solve the world’s problems from the same level of thought in which we were when we created those problems. Most of all, this century demands a new way of thinking. We should change our material analysis of the world we live in, for a wider one that includes more multidimensional perspectives.

Albert Einstein

Regarding how big corporations manage to evade taxes

Regarding Pfizer, the biggest manufacturer of medicinal products, with declared benefits of 22 billion dollars in 2013, a report shows that “between 2008 and 2014 the company has done 41% of its sales in the US but managed to declare no taxable federal income for seven consecutive years.” This was possible because Pfizer uses accounting techniques to delocalize abroad their fiscal incomes. For example, the company can transfer its medicinal patents to one branch based in a country with low or inexistent taxes. In this way, when Pfizer American headquarters sells a drug in the US, it pays a high license fee to their foreign branch, so much that they turn the national gains into loses and transfers benefits abroad.”
