According to the World Trade Organization, between 60 and 70% of the world commerce is done among enterprises of the same group, with the resulting risk of using transfer prices to evade taxes. 99% of main European enterprises have at least one subsidiary in a tax haven and 50% of the world trade goes through a corporation based in one of those fiscal havens.

China and the United States, with 9.8 and 5.2 million metric tons of carbon dioxide per year, are the biggest contaminant gas generators, followed by Japan (1.9 million), India (1.9), Russia (1.7) and Brazil (1.5)
