Regarding the Impact of Illicit Flows in Latin America

Just in 2011, Latin America lost 116 billion dollars due to illicit flows; i.e., all the dirty moneys from corruption, criminal activities, and tax elusion by multinationals that flight thanks to the opacity and the flaws of the international financial system   Latindadd

Regarding the logic of the suicidal firefighter (the society of 1%)

Capitalism crisis has transformed into a democracy crisis. In most parts of the planet, citizens feel that they stop been governed by parliaments or congresses to fall into the hands of bankers, investment funds or obscured supranational entities that apply the logic of the suicidal firefighter just to secure their benefits: They should get rescued or they dragged societies with them to death.

Regarding hetero-polarity

It is likely that the main characteristic of the present global momentum, so defined by the intricate, the mutable, and the hybrid, might be what I would call “hetero-polarity.” That is, the unfolding of a multiple-polarities framework , in the state and in non-state levels, with diverse actors and legitimate as well as non-legitimate forces that interact and combine complex and contemporary levels of cooperation and conflict in a world that shows contradictory signs of fragmentation and integration.
