Robert Skidelsky
About the primacy of the individual
In a humanity ever more dramatically marked by tensions among ethnic groups and different forms of nationalisms, within the context of the growing globalization of the economy, while the tendency to annul the conquests of social justice in the name of the primacy of the economy and of profit keeps progressing, this exhortation to solidarity is more pressing than ever. We should urgently affirm the primacy of the individual over the mere logic of the market and over the absolutism of profit.
Bruno Forte
