About the violence in religión

Violence is not religion’s true nature; in fact it is its distortion and it contributes to its destruction. About this matter I would like to say as a Christian: yes, it is also in the name of the Christian faith that people have resorted to violence throughout history. We acknowledge this filled with shame. This has been an abusive use of the Christian faith, in clear contrast to its true nature.
