We face fundamental challenges in the international scenario: the loss of the western power monopoly. It is a historical change. The end of The Cold War only affects 50 years of history; the end of the western power monopoly changes five centuries of history. If this challenge is not faced wisely, our decadence will be accelerated.

How much better it is to die in one’s own bed, surrounded by affection, accompanied by the voices, the faces and the familiar objects, rather than in those ambulances that run across the streets like a race car in order to deliver the dying man into a sterilized room, instead of leaving him in peace.
