Earth is insulted and offers flowers in response.

Rabindranath Tagore

About the imagined spillover effects

The promise was that once the glass became full it would overflow and the poor would benefit from it. But what is happening, instead, is that when it is full, as if by magic, the glass grows bigger and this way nothing ever comes out of it for the poor.

About holding the psyche’s predator back

To hold the psyche’s natural predator back it is necessary that women keep all their instinctive faculties. Among them it is worth quoting wit, intuition, resistance, the capacity to love tenaciously, acute perception, anticipation, hearing sharpness, the capacity to sing for those who died, to heal intuitively and taking care of their own creative bonfires.

Clarissa Pinkola Estés
