About achieving excellence
By definition, only a few will achieve excellence. Yet society improves and develops not only through those who reach it but also through all those who try to do so.
Claudio Fernández Araoz
About being faithful to one’s ideas
Being faithful to one’s thoughts does not consist in refusing to change one’s ideas (dogmatism), in submitting them to things other than themselves (faith), or in considering they are absolute (fanaticism); it consists in denying to change them unless there are good and powerful reasons to do so and, as one can not be continually examining them, it is considering true -until put to a new test- what was once clearly and solidly judged as such.
