First Genome to Be Fully Deciphered in Argentina

One recurrent question human beings ask themselves is how life on Earth began, or whether there might be life on other planets in an environmental context totally different from the one we know today. After deciphering the first genome of a microorganism living in extreme conditions, a group of scientists at the CONICET feel they are in a position to venture an answer.
