The world’s energy needs could be met in a clean, renewable and economically feasible way by 2050, according to the new study developed by WWF: “The Energy Report: 100% renewable energy by 2050”

First wind and solar powered street lamp

Recently in the city of Masnou, in Barcelona, the prototype of the first street lamp which combines two types or renewable energy -wind and solar power- has been installed. With an output of 20,000 lumens, and reserve power to last five days thanks to its deep cycle batteries, this lamp is intended to be launched in the international market by next January.

New technology for early detection of breast cancer

Breast cancer is one of the biggest medical problems affecting modern society. Thousands of women suffer this disease and early detection is one of the best tools to fight it. Now, a Spanish company has created a new mammogram system that enables detecting tumors as little as the head of a pin, and making diagnosis a year before other systems.
