The University of La Matanza in Argentina offers an innovative medical program: it aspires to excellence, it is health oriented, doctor’s training permanently combines the capacity to learn and research and it facilitates a preference to work in social and territorial environments where its presence is most needed. The program’s singularities are (i) integrated and student-focused academic curricula, (ii) articulation with medical clinic from the beginning, (iii) communitarian orientation, (iv) reflective practice and (v) learning based on problems.
