Transfer of lands onto indigenous and creole families in Argentina

The Salta Province peacefully resolves a dispute over land between indigenous and creole families. The approved regulation grants the communitarian ownership to the indigenous communities and a joint ownership for the creole families living in those plots. They are 643.000 hectares that involve about 12.000 people.

A pact to destabilize and devaluate

Executives from six banking entities that operate in Argentina, among them Citibank and JP Morgan, and a multinational oil company, Shell, have been charged before the Economic Criminal Judiciary ¨for attempting against the economic order by acting together to generate a dramatic rise of the dollar¨ in January of this year. ¨In a matter of minutes, a run on the currency represented an exorbitant profit of almost 10 billion pesos rather than the 427 million pesos in the same month in 2013: an increase of more than two thousand percent.¨
