The pandemic and its aftermaths of suffering are a lesson for a society that until recently preferred amnesia and numbing the wills. It is time for union of punished peoples, of growth in clarification and organization. To emerge strengthened from this crisis that overwhelms, it will be necessary to reinforce determination and explore new paths, better trajectories. In this issue, we add an analysis about the social and economic costs of ignoring the tremendous situation that prevails in almost every prison of the region.
