Regarding the extinction of half of the world’s languages

Out of the 7,000 tongues spoken today, half is not been taught to children. The result is that unless something changes, all these languages will disappear during this generation. Half of the world’s idioms are in danger of extinction. On average, every fifteen days an old man or woman dies that carries the last syllables of an old tongue with him/her to the tomb.

Regarding agroecology

Agroecology presents a radically different vision from the globalized food systems based on homogenization, specialization, industrialization and short-term economic measures. New agroecological systems are based on family systems of small scale, local, biodiverse, autonomous, embedded in territories controlled by communities and supported by solidarity consumers that understand that eating is at the same time a political and ecological act.

Regarding social media as threats for democracy

Social media have become a threat for democracy. They are not evil companies; they just try to gain as much money as possible. But the best way of achieving this is by making people focus only on things they like and giving them only the things they like. That really divides population. It undermines the legitimacy of political institutions, civic nationalism, and divides people among them.
